Hair thinning is a reduction in the density and thickness of the hair on scalp. It can be generalized thinning, or thinning in frontal hair line, temples, or crown of the head areas. There are so many causes to hair thinning such as: genetics, age, hormonal changes, nutritional deficiencies (so many), other medical conditions (auto-immune diseases, thyroid disease, anemia) and stress. Some types of Alopecia include: Androgenetic Alopecia (male-pattern baldness and female-pattern hair loss), alopecia areata (patchy hair loss), scarring alopecia (hair loss caused by damage to the hair follicles). Telogen effluvium is temporary hair loss caused by stress or other factors.
