Hirsutism (excess face hair growth)

About Hirsutism (excess face hair growth)

Excessive or unwanted facial hair growth in women, known as hirsutism, is usually caused by an imbalance of hormones, particularly androgens. This condition can lead to the growth of coarse, dark hair in areas such as the upper lip, chin, jawline, and chest. While not dangerous, hirsutism can be a source of distress and is often linked to underlying medical conditions like Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

Treating Hirsutism | My Approach:

My holistic approach to healing hirsutism involves addressing the underlying hormonal imabalance through laboratory testing, hormone balance herbs and supplements and diet changes, topical treatments, and prescription medications when necessary. While laser hair removal can be helpful, the unwanted hair growth will often return if the underlying hormone imbalance is not addressed.
