Sun Rashes (Photodermatitis)

About Photodermatitis (sun rashes/hives)

The medical term for a sun rash is polymorphous light eruption (PMLE). It's a type of photodermatitis, meaning a reaction to sunlight exposure, often characterized by an itchy, red, and bumpy rash on sun-exposed areas of the body. It can also be referred to as a sun allergy or sun poisoning.
